Fallen Leaves

It has been a super busy fall but I have finally gotten back to creating a card for a challenge!

I created this card for throw back Thursday using a stamp set I have had in mind and some left over scraps on my craft table...haha.  Products I used were:
Fallen Leaves -  B1492 (retired) from CTMH

I stamped them using VersaMark then dusted them with Perfect Pearls by Ranger.  I love the way it adds sparkle to them.
Thanks for stopping by and I will try to post again in a few days.

Happy Times

Color Dare Challenge #192

Happy Times! That is the name of the Paper pack from Close To My Heart for National Scrapbook Month.  I used Fern, Canary, Cotton Candy, Glacier, White Daisy and Gold, the colors in the Happy Times Paper Pack.  The flower like design from Ornate Blossoms was heat embossed with Gold Embossing powder. I then colored it in with the inks mentioned above using a Blending Pen.  The "leaves" were stamped on Fern cardstock with Fern ink.  Paper is from the Happy Times paper pack.  I love the Gold Foil!

You can get the exclusive Happy Times paper packet for FREE With a qualifying purchase of $60. This fun paper packet, which is available for one month only, features floral designs, gold foil details, and more! Orange Orange

This weeks Color Dare Challenge #191 is all about orange!  I have been coming up with cards using butterflies and the Your Own Kind of Wonderful for this month's card kit so added an orange one to the group.  I used Sorbet, Sunset and Poppy.  The colors look so much better in person!  I heat embossed the three butterflies in white then used sponge daubers to add the three colors.  It was mounted on orange ombre paper from Sangria.  It is embellished with coral sequins and the sentiment was stamped with Poppy ink..

Orange is not a color that I use often, so thank you Color Dare for this challenge.  I am enjoying the challenges!  Thank you design team for the inspiration!

The sentiment was also heat embossed in white and clear Wink of Stella was added to the solid colors and the sentiment.

Supplies used:

Cardstock: Ruby, Gypsy Honey and White Daisy
Inks: Pear, Versa Mark with White heat embossing powder
Stamp set: A Flowering Bunch, SOTM S1306
Cricut Cartridge: Artiste

I was the Sapphire winner for this card!  Exciting!!!

Are you young at heart?  Doesn't matter your age you know!!!

I got out some stamps from the last Stamp of Approval Young At Heart collection by Catherine Pooler and created these cards.  I have a lot of birthdays coming up and everyone always needs birthday cards.  That was the main reason I bought the set!  It was full of goodies and ready to create great projects as well as opportunity learn some new tricks!  There were some great, fun stamp sets, die cuts and a masking sheet.  Also a glitter pen.  So much fun to pay with.  All this was in the box!!

These are a few of the cards I have created.

Green! Green! Green!

This is the season where everything is coming up green!  Leaves, grass, flowers pushing through the ground and cards!  The weather is cold and very windy today and there were snow flakes flying through the air but not enough to hide the GREEN!  I want the 70 F weather from two days ago...Lol.

This weeks Color Dare #187 challenge is to create a card using only shades of green and White Daisy.  I combined that with the Stamp Of the Month for April.  I roughed up the edged with a Edge Distresser tool for added interest and to bring out the white core of the paper.

I added some various shades of  Enamel & Glitter Duos Green Triangles for some added BLING!  I did some second generation stamping and used the lighter shades so that only one camera stuck out.  The little star shapes came from an older stamp set, CC1041 Hello, Life.

There were other stamp set I could have used for this but it was close and it worked for what I wanted...filler!

Take time to enjoy Life's Moments!

Color Dare #186

It is the day after a busy Easter weekend so time to relax and play with three colors!  I used only Gypsy, Lagoon and White Daisy which was a challenge in itself!  Teamed with one of my favorite stamp sets "Your Own Kind of Wonderful" D1627.  Color Dare #186.

I used second generation stamping for the smaller butterflies and also the Lagoon back of the larger butterflies.  Tone on tone was used for the Gypsy butterflies on the border.  Lesson learned - I can create a card with just two colors on a White Daisy card!!!  Can You?

Hello Spring!

Spring has arrived and the flowers are starting to bloom.  March wind is still present and the temperature has not been that high but warm weather is on it's way by Easter weekend.  Perfect...

With that in mind I went out with my camera this afternoon and took these pictures and turned them into a page print.  I didn't find many that were open but these few make me happy!

My mind then went to butterflies and I got out a stamp set I have not used much and made this card for the Color My Heart #185 blog challenge.   These colors scream SPRING!

I used the top four colors with my inks and Glacier and Topiary card stock to back my image.  The triangles punched with the Triangle Border Punch so that the Topiary would show through.

I didn't want to cut out the antenna of the butterfly so I stamped it on a second time and fussy cut it out, minus the antenna, and sponged the wings with Sweet Leaf, Glacier and Cotton Candy ink.  The area around the butterfly was sponged with Sweet Leaf and a little bit of Cotton Candy ink.  The center of the butterfly is the only part that was attached so that the wings could stand up a little for added dimension.  Three pink dots balanced off the design and all was added to a layer of Cotton Candy Fundamentals paper.  The stamp set is retired Paper Bird Hostess Reward stamp set.

There are a lot of great Hostess Reward stamp sets so why not have a party?  Book, Home or even Facebook!  I would love to help you earn some great products!

Same design, different paper...along with one Crazy Bird from Tim Holtz.

Don't forget that this is Stampaganza Month.  Buy two get one FREE! and The Stamp of the Month is super cute, especially if you can get it for $5!

You Are Fabulous!

Hi there.  A late night post to share a CAS card I created today for a new challenges.

Muse Card Club - Muse Challenge #153 - Tracey McNeely is the Muse this week.

CAS-ual Fridays for Febuary

I kept my card clean and simple with one layer.  I really liked Tracey's spring colors but chose circles rather than actual flowers to make my cluster.  I stamped flowers and sentiment with So Many Smiles.  The saying is heat embossed and the center of the largest flower is on pop dots and has Liquid Glass added to the center.  All products and stamps are from Close To My Heart.

Here is Tracey's card.  Makes me anxious for spring flowers and warm weather!

Thanks for stopping by!

Fun Crafting

I find it amazing at how fast time flies when I am in my craft room!  I tired a new technique called Ink Smooshing which I saw on YouTube with Catherine Pooler.

I experimented with two types of ink and got two different looks.  Love them both!
The Frog
CTMH Exclusive Inks - Canary, Crystal Blue and Fern.
Stamp set and Thin Cut dies - CTMH Spring Critters
TwinTouch Markers - CTMH - Sap Green, Leaf Green, Pastel Green

The Butterfly
Tim Holtz Distress Inks - faded jeans, worn lipstick and dusty concord

All you have to do for the background is rub the ink pads on a clear block, spritz with water and lay on the paper and "smoosh" it until you get the desired look.  Great YouTube video to watch with Catherine Pooler.

,Give it a try and share your results!
Happy crafting and Enjoy Life's Moments!
